MaryMagdalene the Apostle Catholic Gateway
If you are a Catholic woman ... is Christ calling you to the priesthood? Else, do you know any Catholic woman who feels she is being called to ordained ministry? There is a new gateway to information about ordination of women in the catholic tradition: Mary Magdalene the Apostle Catholic Gateway http://www.catholic-women-priests.org/ The objective of this website is to identify options available to catholic women who are trying to discern a vocation to ordained ministry, but do not have ready access to such information. It should be clearly understood, however, that this gateway does not lead to an "ordination mill". Referrals will be given only to churches and jurisdictions that provide rigorous priestly training -- theologically, pastorally, and spiritually. Bishop Sharon Hart of the Contemporary Catholic Church is the episcopal sponsor of this website. Candidates will be carefully screened, and then viable ones will be given the contact info for jurisdictions and bishops who should be able to test their vocation and provide seminary training, taking into account their theological insights and pastoral gifts. Diversity will be encouraged within the legitimate bounds of the "one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church" (Nicene Creed). Please spread the word ... share this info with your friends and associates, specially women who may have a priestly vocation but need encouragement and counseling ... and please, pray for us. Respectfully, Luis Luis T. Gutierrez secretary@catholic-women-priests.org
