We the Undersigned Iranians :

Notwithstanding our diverse views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict;

Considering that the Nazi's coldly planned «Final Solution» and their ensuing campaign of genocide against Jews and other minorities during WWII constitute undeniable historical facts;

Deploring that the denial of these unspeakable crimes has become a propaganda tool that the Islamic Republic of Iran is using to further its own agendas;

Noting that the new brand of anti-Semitism prevalent in the Middle East today is rooted in European ideological doctrines of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and has no precedent in Iran's history;

Emphasizing that this is not the first time that the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has resorted to the denial and distortion of historical facts;

Recalling that this government has refused to acknowledge, among other things, its mass execution of its own citizens in 1988, when thousands of political prisoners, previously sentenced to prison terms, were secretly executed because of their beliefs;

Strongly condemn the Holocaust Conference sponsored by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran on December 11-12, 2006, and its attempt to falsify history;

Pay homage to the memory of the millions of Jewish and non-Jewish victims of the Holocaust, and express our empathy for the survivors of this immense tragedy as well as all other victims of crimes against humanity across the world.

Nous les iraniens soussignés :

Nonobstant la diversité de nos opinions sur le conflit israélo-palestinien;

Considérant que la mise en oeuvre, durant la seconde guerre mondiale, de la "Solution Finale" par le régime nazi et le génocide des juifs et d'autres minorités qui en fut la conséquence, constituent des faits historiques indéniables;

Déplorant que le déni de ces crimes abjects soit devenu un enjeu de propagande servant les visées politiques de la République Islamique d'Iran;

Remarquant que la nouvelle forme d'antisémitisme qui sévit dans les pays du Moyen-Orient trouve ses racines dans les idéologies occidentales du XIXème et du XXème siècle et ne trouve pas de précédent dans l'histoire de l'Iran;

Considérant que ce n'est pas la première fois que le gouvernement de la République Islamique d'Iran a recours au déni et à la distorsion de la vérité historique;

Rappelant que ledit gouvernement n'a jamais reconnu avoir ordonné, entre autres, le massacre de ses propres citoyens en 1988, lors duquel plusieurs milliers de prisonniers politiques, déjà condamnés à des peines de prison, furent exécutés secrètement pour délit d'opinion;

Déplorons l'organisation, par le gouvernement de la République Islamique d'Iran, de la Conférence de l'Holocauste qui s'est tenue à Téhéran le 11-12 décembre 2006, et condamnons fermement la tentative de falsification d'histoire qui y fut encouragée ;

Rendons hommage à la mémoire des millions de victimes juives et non-juives de l'Holocauste et exprimons notre sympathie pour les survivants de cette immense tragédie humaine ainsi que pour toutes les victimes des crimes contre l'humanité partout dans le monde.
