Zenit est une agence internationale d'information dont le but est de fournir gratuitement sur internet « une couverture objective et professionnelle des événements, des questions, des documents touchant l'actualité de l'Eglise catholique et du monde vus de Rome. » Parmi les sujets couverts : les activités quotidiennes du pape, l'actualité du Saint-Siège, des interviews d'hommes et de femmes engagés dans l'Eglise ou encore une revue de presse des différents media du Saint-Siège : Radio Vatican, L'Osservatore Romano, Agence internationale Fides. Le tout diffusé en 6 langues (Espagnol, Anglais, Allemand, Français, Portugais, Italien). Les dépeches sont parfois reprises sans citation dans la presse du monde entier.
